The sports information office serves as the liaison between Western New Mexico student-athletes and the media. We handle all of the media's needs, including setting up interviews, maintaining statistics, coordinating photographs and organizing and updating the historical records of WNMU athletics.
Interview
All inquiries about WNMU athletics, including interview requests for both coaches and players are to be directed to Dakota Spillers in the sports information office.
Media Guides
Media guides are a production of the WNMU sports information office and are a service to Mustang Athletics, opposing teams, and the media. For more information please contact the sports information department for more info.

Visitors to Silver City and WNMU
Western New Mexico University is an NCAA Division II school located in the southwest corner of New Mexico. The relatively inexpensive school has an enrollment of approximately 2,500 students, and the small size in one of its greatest assets.
The small campus is beautiful and nestled in the foothills of the Gila Wilderness. Western is known for the tranquil, slow paced lifestyle of small town living, but you will never be without something to do. The on-campus dorms and cafeteria are also very nice and easily accessible to the entire campus.
WNMU is located in Silver City, a small town of about 15,000 residents. It is located in the foothills of the Gila Wilderness, which means that both the forests and deserts are extremely accessible. This geographic location keeps the weather very nice, as Silver City is known for its four gentle seasons. The nearest large cities and airports are Albuquerque, NM, Tucson, AZ and El Paso, TX, which are all between three and four hours away.
